Terry was born on July 30, 1956.
A Visitation for Terry will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
A Rosary service will occur on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
A Funeral service will occur on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish, 2030 E. State Hwy. 356, Irving, Texas 75060.
A Committal service will occur on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
Terry will be laid to rest in Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220-3338, in St. John, Section East G, Tier East Side, Crypt 113C.

Terry Embry brother, uncle, great uncle, Godfather, and friend, passed into eternal life on Friday, September 23, 2022. Terry courageously endured his year-long blood cancer battle with great patience, positivity, and most importantly, his faith and hope in eternal life. He offered up his suffering for all those who prayed and cared for him. Terry was a life-long Texan, a true gentleman, and a devout Catholic.
Terry was born on July 30, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Lena Rae (Ganc) Embry & John Lester Embry. He was the third oldest of four sons.
Terry attended W.B. Ray High School. Terry graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1978 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Terry first worked for Technology Development Corporation.
Then he worked as a Software Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Grand Prairie, Texas. In July of 2021, Terry retired from Lockheed Martin after 30+ years of service.
Terry was an active parishioner of Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish in Irving, Texas, and a member of the Mater Dei Knights of Columbus Council #15033. Terry was also a Confirmation sponsor. Beyond his love for the Latin Mass, he enjoyed many Sunday potlucks after Mass and fellowship in the parish
bookstore. Terry also had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, attending many First Friday evening Masses for years.
Some of Terry's favorite pastimes included -- retreats at Clear Creek Abbey, spiritual reading including the Divine Office, researching Catholic history, UT football, and politics. He was a fixture of East Dallas,
and could be found enjoying refreshment at many of the family-owned restaurants over the years, including Campisi's, the Daire-ette, and Barbec's.
The family thanks Fr. Ramirez, Fr. Bauknecht, and Fr. Cunningham for their spiritual guidance and comfort of Terry. They would also like to thank Terry's doctors and friends from The Village, Mater Dei, and the Young Serrans who rallied behind Terry providing rides, meals, light housekeeping, hospital visits, and many prayers during his extended illness.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Lena Rae (Ganc) Embry and John Lester Embry, and his infant sister Rebecca Sue Embry.
Terry is survived by his three brothers -- James Embry and wife Debbie, Robin Embry and wife Susan, and John T. Embry. Terry is also survived by his 10 nieces and nephews -- Bethany Bradley, Aaron Embry, Anastasia (Elise) Embry and fiance' Jonathan Nesvadba, Katharine (Kate) Whitehead and husband Kyle, John (Jack) W. Embry and wife Annika, Isabel Becker and husband Bradley, Andrew (Andy) Embry and wife Ann, Joshua Embry, Brittany Bickelhaupt and husband Christopher, and John G. Embry. Terry is also survived by 15 grandnieces and grandnephews: Elijah Bradley, Gabriel Bradley, Daniel Bradley, Jacob Bradley, Henry Bradley, Claire Embry, Stella Embry, Sybil Bickelhaupt, Jade Embry, Bruce Whitehead, Malcom Whitehead, Oliver Whitehead, Theodore Whitehead, Wallace Whitehead, and Lucy Wallace.
