Edward C. Aid

With the passing of Edward C. Aid Chillicothe loses a resident that was well worthy of the name "citizen." A native of Chillicothe, and a faithful employee in the delivery service of the local Post Office for the past 25 years made Mr. Aid a widely known as well as service rendering citizen.

Shortly after Christmas, Mr. Aid was obliged to discontinue his work because of ill health, which, however, did not terminate in anything serious until Monday. Wednesday morning he was taken to Mt. Carmel hospital in Columbus for medical treatment of a complication of diseases. His condition grew more serious on Thursday and death followed Friday morning at 2 o'clock.

The remains were brought here later this morning and taken to the Aid home on East Fifth Street.

Edward C. Aid was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Aid of North High street. He was born in this city January 1st, 1872. He has been a life long member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He died a member of the Holy Namy Society, the St. Ignatius society and of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Sheehan Aid and three children, Ignatius, Genevieve and Joseph, one sister, Mrs. Arthur Morgan of this city and one brother, Frank Aid of New York City.

Requiem High Mass will be held over the remains Monday morning at St. Mary's Church at 8:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in St. Margaret's Cemetery.
