Willie Mae Davis, age 89 of Morganfield, KY passed away Saturday 9/24/2022 at Deaconess Union County Hospital in Morganfield. She was born April 4, 1933 to Zella & John Will Hancock in Morganfield. She had been a member of Carr's Chapel Baptist Church but was a current member of Haven of Faith Ministries in Morganfield and was a Church Mother. She also taught Sunday School and led the Youth Ministry. Willie Mae had been the Director of Audubon Area Services for 10 years and also worked at Job Corps. She proudly graduated of Dunbar High School as Salutatorian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harmon Edward Davis; daughter Aubolyn Amboree; son John Houston; sisters Fannie Mae Brown, Betty Jean Major, & Martha Ann Fletcher; brothers Henry Clements Hancock, John Will Hancock, Jr., & Phillip Hancock.

Daughters Brenda Kinard of Morganfield

Tamala & Larry Howard of Newburgh, IN

Sonja Mia & James "Billy Jr." Harris of Morganfield

Zalana Davis of Morganfield

Son Harmon "Pete" Davis, Jr. of Morganfield

Brother Moses Hancock, Sr. of Morganfield

18 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren

Funeral service will be 12 PM Friday 9/30/2022 at Carr's Chapel Baptist Church in Morganfield. Rev. Dione Saunders will officiate.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
