W.C. "Bill" Baker, 86, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 31, 2008, in the local hospital. Bill was an Army Veteran, worked as a Union Brick Layer and later owned a masonry contractor company until he retired for health reasons. He and his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth, lived near Weatherford for 45 years. They raised cattle, horses and grew hay crops at their ranch. They were members of South Main Church of Christ. Elizabeth preceded him in death in November, 2007.Survivors include three sisters, Betty, Louise and Doris. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Springtown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel913 N.
