Mrs. Rowland Plumb was born in Terra Haute, Ind. on Mar. 10, 1864. Died Friday, Nov. 22, 1918, at her home at Wild Rose Ranch. She was the daughter of Rev. Aaron L. and Hannah Thoroughman who moved to Kansas when she was 10 years old, and later came to Vancouver in this state. On May 19, 1908 she was married to Rowland Plumb and two years later came to Chelan where they have since resided on their homestead. She is a member of the M. E. Church, was chairman of the Red Cross and an active Christian worker in her neighborhood.

She is survived by three children of a former marriage: W. A. Leathers of Hermiston, Or., Mrs. Maud Lipscomb, and Mrs. Charles T. Goodsell of Spokane; also by the following, Rev. A. L. Thoroughman, of Walla Walla; Rev. D. E. Thoroughman, of Perkins, Oklahoma; N. O. Thoroughman, of Portland, Or., Judge J. A. Thoroughman and J. L. Thoroughman of Yates Center, Kansas; and John H. of Denver, Colorado. She was a true friend, a good wife and a loving mother. Her fiends were many and she will be missed by those who living in her community.

Many of the early census records list her birth as 1859 (I did locate her in the 1860 census, I think she started fibbing about her age since she was older than her second spouse) and her name is Maria in most records.
