Dianah Franklin is believed to be the daughter of Joseph Samuel and Dorcus Burns Parker of Burke County, North Carolina.

She married Ezekiel Sisemore, and the family were found living in McDowell County in the 1850 and 1860 censuses.

By 1880, 72 year old Dianah Franklin was widowed and living with her son Lewis, next door to daughter Nancy and a grandson. By this time, the entire family had changed their surname from Sisemore to Franklin, for unknown reasons.

She is believed to be buried in the Jonathan Creek area where she died, possibly buried in the Parks Family Cemetery with some of her children or in a nearby cemetery. Still looking..
