Anthony Drew Kirk, 26, of Williamson, WV, succumbed to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 26, 2022, in Elkhorn City, Kentucky.

Born in Williamson, WV, on November 10, 1995, Drew was the beloved son of Leslie McCoy Kirk and Larry Kirk both of Williamson.

Drew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Teddy McCoy, his paternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Kirk and his maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Davis.

Known for his gentle and fun-loving spirit, Drew was truly a ray of sunshine to his family and to his friends alike. Rather quiet by nature, Drew enjoyed his solitude, but he also enjoyed the company of his family and friends. When he wasn't working, he could be found at home playing video games or at City Gym where he worked out on a regular basis and enjoyed weight training. Drew was an avid sports fan. He played football and baseball at Williamson High School and later played football at Mingo Central High School where he was a 2014 graduate.

Drew was employed as a route driver with G.E.M. Distributing in Pikeville, KY. He was driving his normal work route on Monday morning when a school bus crossed the center line of the highway and collided with Drew's truck. Drew's sudden passing has left his family and friends bereaved. While Drew's life ended much too soon, the gentle and happy memories that he leaves will remain a source of lifelong joy and comfort to everyone who knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered always.

In addition to his parents, Drew is survived by a devoted brother, Jesse Kirk and his wife, Kendra Kirk of Williamson, his maternal grandmother, Cheryl Davis McCoy of Chattaroy, WV, his maternal great-grandmother, Emily Davis of Louise, KY, his nephews, Aaron and Paul Kirk, a niece, Hannah Kirk, his fiancée and loving companion, April Simpkins and her daughter, Gracelynn, all of Williamson, He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Visitation is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday evening, September 29, 2022, at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Friday morning, September 30, 2022 at the mortuary. Reverend Tom Harding will officiate.

Interment is in the Lemaster Cemetery in Clifford, KY, where Drew will be laid to rest beside his grandfather.
