Obituary
Unidentified Newsclipping - 1893
HOSFORD.--Mary A., wife of Wm. J. Hosford, was born in Oswego, Oswego County, New York, in 1840, and died in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, May 17, 1893. She was converted in early girlhood, and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she continued a consistent and devoted member until the close of her useful life. She will long be remembered by many friends for her genial and beautiful Christian character. Her suffering for months was severe and painful, but she bore it all with that Christian fortitude and resignation which denoted the desire to depart and be with Jesus. She died as she lived, trusting in the merits of her Redeemer. The services of her funeral were conducted by her pastor, the writer, assisted by the Rev. Rayner S. Pardington and the Rev. Job. H. Bass. Her remains repose in Evergreens Cemetery.
