Officer Thomas D. "Tom" Parks received his commission on March 23, 1964 and retired on July 7, 1986. Officer Parks faithfully served 22 years, 3 months, and 14 days of dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Tom was a long time Juvenile Detective who was instrumental in creating the child abuse program.

Beloved husband for over 60 years of Lillian Parks (nee Mayer); loving father of Tom (Valerie) Parks, Denise (John) Webster and Jeff (Colleen) Parks; dear grandfather of Fayth, Daniel, Joye, Hope, Chelsi, Shawna, Thomas "T.J.", Taylor, Heather, Brendan, Joseph and Grace; dear brother of Ron, Rob and the late Carol and Mary Jane; dear brother-in-law of Mary Jane, Helen and Debbie.

Mr. Parks was a retired St Louis Metropolitan Police Officer and former security officer with Nooter Corp.

Services; Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel 10151 Gravois, Friday September 30 10:00 AM until services at 12 Noon. Memorials to Backstoppers appreciated.
