ROCKFORD - Rosella V. Burns Goral, 87, of Rockford died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, in Provena St. Anne Center. Born Dec. 9, 1912, in Rockford, daughter of George J. and Katherine Carroll Burns. Lifelong Rockford resident. Graduated from St. Mary Catholic Grade School and St. Thomas High School. Married Stanley Goral in St. Mary Catholic Church, Rockford, on Aug. 6, 1932. She worked for Dr. Johnson from 1930 to 1932, and at Barber-Colman Co. from 1943 to 1945. Employed at Rockford Dry Goods for 25 years, from 1951 until retiring as credit manager in 1976. She was Credit Woman of the Year for Illinois Consumer Credit Association. Member of St. James Catholic Church, the Altar & Rosary Society charter member of Irish Marching Society, Ladies of Columbus, Tinker Cottage Association and Ethnic Heritage Museum. Survivors include husband, Stanley sons, Gerald (Peg) Goral and George (Marlene) Goral of Rockford 11 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Catherine Sandberg, Alice McLaren, Helen McGarey, Marion Summers and Margaret Murray.

Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. David E. Beauvais officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, with Christian wake service at 8, in Fitzgerald & Associates Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Visitation also from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday in the church.
