Sharon "Sherry" Morphew, 60, of Boonville, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on February 14, 1962 in Evansville, IN to Basil and the late Mary "Hootie" Helen (Nelson) Embry.
Sherry was a member of the Pentecostal Mission of Prayer Church. She worked for her family's business, Embry Roofing, for over 25 years. She had also worked for ResCare and SIRS.
Sherry was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, never failing to miss any of their games.
She is survived by her sons, Nelson and JD Morphew; grandchildren, Selah, Adelynn, and Asher Morphew; siblings, Mike Embry (Kathy), Mark Embry (Christie), and Robert Embry (Shelly); uncle and aunt, Bob and Evelyn Nelson; 9 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her mother in 2018.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Koehler Funeral Home, 304 E. Main St., Boonville, Indiana. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Meredith officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
