Edward Diamond (1858-1917,
about 1884.
They resided in Kingston,
Ulster County, New York,
and then moved to Trenton,
Mercer County, New Jersey,
where she died.
Following is a newspaper
article which appeared in
"The Daily Freeman",
Kingston, New York,
Tuesday, June 1, 1926:
"Ella Hayes, wife of the
late Joseph E. Diamond,
died Sunday at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Maurice
Tome of Trenton, N.J. with
whom she had resided for
some time.
Her husband, with his
brother, Thomas, for many
years conducted a grocery
at Broadway and Thomas
Street under the firm name
of Joseph E. diamond &
Company.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. Tome, Mrs.
Charles Pearce of
Pittsburgh, Pa and Mrs.
John Kersey of Trenton,
and three sons, Joseph E,
Francis, and William
Diamond, all of Trenton.
The remains will be
brought to this city and
funeral services held on
arrival at the West
Shore train at 2:15
o'clock, Wednesday
afternoon.
Interment in the family
plot in St. Mary's
cemetery".

surviving daughters was
Mrs. Anna (aka Annabelle)
Pearce, of Farrell,
Mercer County, Pa, the
wife of William Wade Pearce,
