Born in North Liberty, Indiana, Betty was the daughter of Joseph & Cordella (Harris) Scott. She married David Shefferly on August 11, 1988. A dedicated homemaker, Betty loved reading, working crossword puzzles and painting. But she especially enjoyed "loving" he animals. She also had worked for Pizza Hut in both Monroe and Adrian as well as Hi-Lite Supermarket. Betty leaves to cherish her memory, David, her husband of the past 25 years; children Troy Alan Aker, Julianne (Jeff) Geierman, Laurie (Kevin) Schwartzenberger and David (Sara) Shefferly II; three grandchildren: Jonathon Passmore, Lauren Passmore and Penelope Shefferly; four brothers: Danny (Janet) Robison, James (Janice) Scott, Jay (Tammy) Scott and Jerry Scott; as well as two sisters: Connie (Duane) Guyse and Grace (Russ) Keel. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister Jane Hoesetl Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, P.O. Box 2432, Monroe, Michigan 48161.
