David Robert Abernathy, age 39, of Centerville, Indiana, went to Heaven October 3, 2022.
David was born May 21, 1983, in Greenville, Ohio, to Stephen G. and Barbara A. Williamson Abernathy. He lived in Louisville, Kentucky at the time of his unexpected death, but was a lifelong resident of Centerville, Indiana. David graduated from Centerville High School. He was a member of Centerville Christian Church. David was a gifted carpenter and an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his daughter, Kaytlyn Ivy Abernathy of Connersville; son, Bennett Scott Abernathy; wife, Emilee Abernathy; mother, Barbara Abernathy all of Centerville; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Abernathy; brother, Scott Abernathy; maternal and paternal grandparents; and one aunt.
Visitation for David Abernathy will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2022, at Centerville Christian Church, 111 North Morton St., Centerville, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Centerville Christian Church with Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, Indiana.
