Professional Baseball Player. He attended Oak Park Illinois High School, graduating in 1960. At age 18 Marv signed a contract to play professional baseball. He played second base for the Chicago White Sox (1964 to 1967), the Montréal Expos (1969 to 1970), and the Atlanta Braves (1971). His last game was June 13, 1971. He finished his career with a .207 batting average, 97 hits, 1 home run, and 33 runs batted in. Marv spent the rest of his life as an Insurance Agent and volunteered his time coaching youth baseball and basketball.
