Of Brooklyn Street Warsaw, died suddenly. Born in Warsaw, son of Frederick A. and Jennie E. Knight Wickens. On October 26, 1935 he married Mabel Freer who survives him, together with 3 children, Joan, Jon and Judith Wickens and his parents. He had been a guard at the Attica Prison for 15 years. Veteran of WWII having been inducted on 9/16/1943 in the US Naval service at Warsaw. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific area and received his discharge at Sampson on 11/24/1945 with the rank of boatswain's mate. He was previously with the New York National Guard from 12/12/1932 to 12/11/1935. Member of the V.F.W. and the Wyoming County Veterans, Inc. Military services were at the grave.
