Barbara Palmer, 100, of Cleburne, Texas passed away October 3, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born August 21, 1922 in Cleburne to Roy Payne and Mary Tina (Austin) Scott.
She married Derrell Franklin Palmer on October 12, 1947 in New York City, New York. They were married 61 years at the time of his passing on February 22, 2009.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cleburne. She was extremely devoted and active in her church. Barbara was a loving, strong, classy but modest individual that was giving and believed in supporting her community. She was even tempered and had a calm spirit about her and was a loyal friend.
Barbara enjoyed traveling world-wide, Scotland being her favorite destination. Being part of and hosting her Bridge group, as well as her Friday and Saturday night club events and gatherings brought her much joy. Her years of life lessons and love will be forever remembered.
Preceded by her parents and husband. Survived by her children, Scott Palmer, and Elaine Maltsberger, grand children, great-grand children along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Service will be conducted October 11, 2022 in the Cleburne Chapel. Burial to follow in the Rosehill Cemetery...CPFH
