Fred Kidd, 71, of Oneida, passed away Sunday, October 30, 1983, at the Cookeville General Hospital.
He was born February 16, 1912, in Kentucky and was the son of the late George Kidd and Martha Slaven Kidd.
He was formerly employed by Tibbals Flooring and was a member of the Hazel Valley Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Audney Kidd.
Mr. Kidd is survived by his wife, Mildred Kidd of Oneida; three sons: Doyle Kidd and Mike Kidd, both of Oneida, and Hoyle Kidd of Strunk, Ky.; one daughter, June Hamlet of Cookeville; three brothers: Horace and Denton Kidd, both of Cincinnati, O., and John Kidd of Oneida; two sisters: Vina Phillips of Oneida, and Gertie Wells of Cincinnati, O.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, November 1, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Scott County Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Marcum and Rev. John R. Stevens officiating. Interment was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery. Scott County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
