Steven Scott Everhart, age 25, departed this life unexpectedly on Monday morning, February 4, 2008, in his home. He was the son of Kathy and Steven Everhart of Waterville. A brilliant young man, he graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 2000 where he played baseball and hockey. Steve graduated Cum Laude from Hillsdale College, and was finishing his Law Degree at The University of Toledo. At Hillsdale, he played baseball and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was a member of Abiding Word Lutheran Church. The light of Steve's life was his son, Scottie. They loved playing Wii, going to COSI, and jet-skiing at Devil's Lake. Steve was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He was an avid fisherman, sportsman, and computer and internet genius, recently receiving a patent for a foreign language translation program. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him, gone too soon from our lives. Steve is survived by his son, Scottie; parents, Kathy and Steve Everhart; sister, Leslie and grandparents, Harriet Everhart and Jacques Everhart. He was preceded in death by grand-parents, Edmund and Ruth Badyna and special friend, Jessica. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 7 at The Peinert Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Road, Waterville, Ohio from 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Abiding Word Lutheran Church, 17202 Mercer Rd., Bowling Green, OH, on Friday February 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery, Whitehouse, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in Steve's name to a favorite charity. www.peinertfuneralhome.com The Broken Chain We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone; for part of us went with you, that day God called you home. You left peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken. And nothing seems the same; But as God calls us one by one, The Chain will link again!
