Wilbur W. Johnson, 100, of Roseville, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe.
He was born in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Mr. Johnson retired in 1969 after 38 years of employment from Chrysler Corp.

He participated in a bowling league until he was 90 and lived on his own until four months ago.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Faulkner and Charlene (Anthony) Pozzuoli; son, Robert (Marsha) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, in 1986.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack (at Vernier), Grosse Pointe Woods, with the Rev. Monsignor Michael Dylag officiating.

Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the donor's choice of charity.
