He was born to Jimmy and Gaynelle (Potter) Ables. His father survives in Spring Valley, and his mother died in 1995.
Surviving are a brother, Jim Chris, Blanchester; two sisters, Beverly (Dennis) Eichenauer, Celina, and Trish Simonton, Mason; and a special friend, Gloria Street.
He worked at Greene, Inc., Xenia, for eight years. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
