MRS. ORPHA AVERY.

Mrs. Orpha R. Avery, 68, wife of Frank Avery of Agency, died at 11 a.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julius Johnson, of Milwaukee, Wis.

The daughter of J.S. and Catherine McGuire Reno, she was born January 6, 1884, in Wapello county and had lived in this county throughout her life. She was married October 8, 1902, to Frank Avery, who survives her.

She was a member of the Agency Methodist church and the Good Will Sunday school class of the church, the Olive ad Oak Rebekah lodge No. 455 of Agency, the past Noble Grands, the Good Samaritan club, district No. 90, and the Farmers' union auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Milwaukee; one son, Pat Avery, Agency, and a granddaughter, Phyllis Avery, Ottumwa. Her parents, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Agency Methodist church in charge of the Rev. C.F. Waterman of the church. Burial will be in Agency cemetery.

Rebekah services will be held at the grave. Pallbearers will be Dwight Anderson, Cecil Black, Walter Calhoun, Clyde Wilson, Jack Kibler and Ennis Sterner.

The casket was taken from the Johnson funeral chapel to the residence in Agency this afternoon.
