Elsie Lucille Larson, 93, of Sycamore, Ill., formerly of Florida, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Shabbona Health Care Center.
Born Nov. 12, 1914, in Lisbon, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Johnson) Tollefson. She married Marvin W. Larson on Feb. 18, 1936, in the parsonage of the West Lisbon Lutheran Church in Newark. She was a homemaker and lived in the farming communities of Newark, Hinckley, Elburn and Sycamore. She and her husband later retired to Homosassa Springs, Fla.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernadine (Ronald) Reingardt of Fort Mill, S.C., and Elaine (Larry) Westerbeck of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, Clyde Larson of Kirkland; a sister, Eleanor Tollefson of Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1997; three brothers, Gus and Glenn Tollefson and Laverne Johnson; and two sisters, Evelyn Helland and Clara Tollefson.
The graveside burial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at West Lisbon Lutheran Cemetery.
