Jimmie David Allen, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on July 07, 2022, after an illness that began in late March of this year. He took his last breath on this earth that evening with his family surrounding him. He was born in his home in Irving, Oklahoma on the 15 th of July, 1934 to Frank and Bessie Painter Allen. Jimmie grew up in a small farm house on eighty acres along with a sister Helen Allen Kafer and three brothers, Troy Allen, Larry Allen and Eddie Allen. Jimmie graduated High School from Irving Schools in 1952, then attended Oklahoma A&M until serving the U.S. Army in Germany from 1955 thru 1956. Upon his discharge, he enrolled at Central State University of Oklahoma earning a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education in 1959. He married Kaye (Nutter) in 1959, and they had been married just short of 63 years upon his passing. Jimmie and Kaye moved to Kellyville, Oklahoma, where he taught Science and Drivers Education, served as coach and Athletic Director and drove a school bus during his 43 year tenure. After retirement, Jimmie and Kaye moved to an acreage outside of Jones, Oklahoma, where he enjoyed attending as many Jones school sports activities as possible and keeping his property up as if it were a golf course. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Kaye Allen; daughter Tammy Keiffer(Mark); sons Jay Allen and Matt Allen(Shandi); and later joining the family Johnny Castillo(Amy). He is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. An informal celebration of life will be held at the Jones I.O.O.F. Lodge, 13131 E. Britton Road, in Jones, OK on Saturday, October 8 th . The family will be there between 1 and 4 pm and we welcome everyone to stop by to celebrate and remember the life of Jimmie (Mr. Allen).
