Rapper. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Courtney "Jamal" Dewar Jr. began rapping in 2008. He went by the stage name "Capital STEEZ". In 2011, he helped found the rap group "Pro Era" alongside best friend Joey Bada$$. In early 2012, him and the group began releasing many singles and albums respectively, gaining traction for a promising career. His first mixtape "AmeriKKKan Korruption" was released on April 7, 2012 to heavy praise from the rap community. He was also featured on numerous tracks on Joey Bada$$'s debut mixtape "1999". Capital STEEZ died on December 24, 2012, by suicide, by jumping off the rooftop of the Cinematic Music Group building in Manhattan.
