Susan G. Hotchkiss Helmer, age 60, of Castile, passed away on March 23, 2016, at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born on May 18, 1955 in Warsaw, New York daughter of the late Charles and Leona Burr Hotchkiss.
Sue was employed for 27 years as a receptionist for Champion Products in Perry. She enjoyed playing bingo and she loved to cook and bake for family and friends, especially at holiday time. Sue also was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with all her grandchildren.
Sue was predeceased by her husband, Steven Helmer who died in 2001.
Surviving are her children, Josh Helmer of Castile, Jeramie (Cheryl Kraft) Helmer of West Seneca, Pamela Helmer of Castile; her grandchildren, Roselyn Helmer, the late Riley Helmer, Bryce Helmer, Madelyn Helmer, Jayden Helmer, Alexis Murcin, Jacob Murcin, Hayden Murcin, Dylan Murcin; her siblings, Kay (Ed) McGrath of Warsaw, Judy (Bill) Shumaker of Warsaw, Robert (Alice) Hotchkiss of Delrio, Texas, Marcy (Ray) Kolacinski of Palm Bay, Florida; her in-laws, Jim (Christine) Helmer of Florida, Randy (Lelani) Helmer of Castile, Dave (Cindy) Helmer of Warsaw, Kevin (Loretta) Helmer of Buffalo, Ellie Marble of Florida, Tracy Helmer of Warsaw; many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister-in-law of the late Cindy Helmer.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 3rd, from 3 – 6 PM, at the Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home 246 North Main Street in Warsaw, where Sue's Funeral Service will be held immediately following Visitation at 6 PM. Private Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery at a later date.
