Laura Godare
Laura Aleene Godare, nee Cort, 91, of East Carondelet and Dupo, Ill. areas, born Jan. 18, 1925 in Malta Bend, Mo., passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Godare worked at Covington Manor as a housekeeper. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., Christ United Church of Christ Quilters group, and Eastern Star Rob Morris Chapter in Fairview Heights, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Albert Godare; her parents, Robert and Sylvia, nee Prosise, Cort; sisters, Louise Dupatz, Betty Decker and Cleo Lucy; and brothers, Henry Cort and Fred Cort.
Surviving are her son, Larry (JoAnn) Godare; daughter, Janet (Kenneth) Hebel; grandchildren, Darryl Hebel, Wendy (Robert) Ates, Tracy (David) McNatt and Mark (Nicki) Godare; great-grandchildren, Katlyn Hoerz, Alyssa Ringler, Robert Ates II, Jessica Castillo, Kendra Turner, Ryan Hebel, Brittany Dell, Shelby Lynn Dell, Brenden Dell, Alexandra Godare and Ashley Grace Godare; great-great-grandchildren, Peyton, Lorelei, Eli, Elleigh, Alex and Roman; sisters, Luella Kent and Shirley Mallett.; and by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2016 at Christ United Church of Christ with Rev. Todd Muschaney, officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
