Born on Jan. 22, 1913, in Hamburg, Ind., he was the son of Henry and Catherine Muckerheide Peters. He was a retired school teacher from St. Mary's School and was also a self-employed electric contractor. Peters was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Knights of Columbus.
On Sept. 8, 1943, he married Alfreda Bedel at S. Ann's Catholic Church in Hamburg, Ind., and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Marvin Peters, Columbus, Ind., Dennis Peters, Frankfort, Clement Peters Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eugene Peters, Greensburg; four daughters, Mrs. George (Marjorie) Wanamaker, Indianapolis, Mrs. John (Diana) Crosby, Marietta, Ga., Mrs. Karl (Cynthia) Keillor, Naperville, Ill., and Mrs. Tim (Kathleen) Lecher, Greensburg; one sister, Hilda A. Peters, Batesville; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter, Marietta Peters.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Amsden officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg, with a prayer service scheduled for 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Organization at the funeral home.
