Janice Rae Brinkman
Janice Rae Brinkman, 79, of Buhl, Idaho passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 9, 2022. Born on January 5, 1943, to Joseph and Edith Castro, she grew up in Tracy, California. After graduating from Tracy Joint Union High School in 1960, she went on to cosmetology school.
Janice married in 1963 and later was blessed with three children, Robert, Cindra and Derrik. She spent her life in Buhl enjoying her family, friends, and especially watching her kid's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. She also loved to read, garden and chat with friends. In her spare time Janice loved caring for the family pets, Oliver, Hazel and her new puppy, Sadie.
Janice spent most of her working life as a paraprofessional for the Buhl School District in the elementary and middle schools. It was there where she made some of her best and treasured friendships.
In 2012, Janice married Don Brinkman at Lake Tahoe. Janice and Don were inseparable until his death in February of this year. Together they gardened, shopped, and traveled, creating memories of a lifetime. They especially loved hosting the annual 4th of July party in their front yard.
Janice is survived by her sons, Robert, and Derrik (Amy); grandchildren, Ryan, Lily, Hannah, Emma, McKenna, and Madison; sister, Elaine (Russ) Truman; and brother, Joel (Debbie) Castro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Cindra; son-in-law, Mike; sister, Joann; and brother, David.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave. North, Buhl. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at West End Cemetery, 1574 East 4150 North, Buhl.
