Our loving wife and mother, Lora Canter, fell asleep in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, at 6:00 pm on October 9, 2022.
Lora was born on June 28, 1937 in Ottawa, West Virginia to Rex and Virginia Ulbrich. She was the third of four children. The family moved to Akron, Ohio when Lora was two years old.
She enjoyed her family vacations, especially to Texas to her grandson's wedding and to the beaches of Florida. Lora also enjoyed going on long walks and playing all types of card games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Jane Ripley and Shirley Ann Randolph (John).
She leaves behind her loving husband, Carl William Canter of Navarre; her cherished daughter, Cindy Robinson of Navarre; brother, Elden Ulbrich (Sonja) of Rootstown; grandson, Jeremy Robinson (Irene) of Harker Heights, TX; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Sandy, Brayden, McKenzie, and Tyler; special niece, Deanna Calvin (Greg), and loving friend, Patricia Hoopes, and also precious grandpuppy, Gracie Tae; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Crossroads Hospice for their gentle care of Lora.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 noon until the start of service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton, Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
