Michael R. Moore, of Republic, MO passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2022, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on June 11, 1969, in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Patricia (Buchanan) Moore. Mike was one of three children in the home.

Mike graduated from Billings High School with the class of 1988. He enlisted in the US Army between his junior and senior years in high school, and honorably served his country in Kuwait for one year and then upon his return home, he continued serving with the Army National Guard, serving for a total of 18 years. On October 17, 1998,

Mike was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dawn Redfearn. Mike brought a son, Cody, to this union and then Mike and Dawn were blessed with two daughters, Hayley and Mikayla. Mike was very active in his community.

He served as the Assistant Fire Chief with Billings Fire for 23 years; he spent many hours volunteering within the community. Mike was very active with the Billings Schools System, from being a school board member to announcing for softball, baseball and even archery. He was also an EMT for Cox, based out of Republic.

He spent many years working at the AVCRAD as an aircraft mechanic. Mike was currently working for Alpine Aviation out of Nixa, as a logistics manager and had been for the past 4 years. Mike liked to be outdoors, hunting, fishing, smoking meat, and golfing were among his favorite hobbies. He was also a huge fan of The Hallmark Channel, but above all he loved to spend time with his family and his furry friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenny Harter and a very important father figure who came into Mike's life, Francis "Buck" Harter.

Left to mourn his passing, is his loving wife of 24 years, Dawn, children Cody Moore, Hayley Moore and fiancée Ethan Mooneyham and Mikayla Moore, granddaughter Parker Mae Mooneyham, sister Sandy Shue and husband Tracy, in-laws Floyd and Gussie Redfearn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and other extended family and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been set up in Mike's name at Billings Schools System. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. in the Billings High School Auditorium. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 10 am, also held in the auditorium. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Billings.
