Dillon, South Carolina - Went home to be with the Lord at McLeod Hospital in Dillon,SC, on Monday - August 15, 2022, after battling with Alzheimer's. She was born in Dillon SC to Daniel and Susanne Grimsley Church. Barbara lived most of her life in Columbia SC. She graduated from Eau Claire High School "Class of 1971.' She had many friends. One of her hobbies was sewing, so she joined the Logan Lap Quilters, where she made many quilts for family members and friends. She also managed a drop off laundry service in Southeast Columbia until 2009 when she moved back home to take care of her father. She was an active member of East Dillon Baptist Church. Barbara is predeceased by her father, mother and sister Brenda S. McDowell. She is survived by family in Dillon, Columbia, and Lakeview SC. A private service was officiated by Pastor James Smith at East Dillon Baptist Church.
