Genevieve Helen Beier, 77, Topeka, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995 at her home. Mrs. Beier was a personal management specialist for the Kansas Corp. Commission for several years before she retired in January 1988.
She was born May 10, 1917 in Topekia, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Artzer Stadler. Mrs. Beier was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society at the church.
She was married to Victor Beier on May 18, 1837 in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include six sons, Victor A. Beier, Lawrence J. Beier, Stephen A. Beier and Dr. Charles G. Beier, all of Topeka, Gregory J. Beier, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Dan P. Beier, Medina, Ohio; four daughters, Sylvia A. Weichold, Topeka, Genevieve Sue Keefer, Parkville, Mo., Jean M. Herman, Victoria, Texas, and Loretta J. Smolowitz, Hendersonville, N.C.; two brothers, Adam Stadler, Prairie Village, and Edward Stadler, Topeka; two sisters, Lillian Underwood, Topeka, and Elizabeth Melchoir, Kansas City, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Beier was preceded in death by a grandson, Byron Ashworth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Beier will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Brennan-Mathana Funeral Home, where a praish rosary will be recited at 6:15 p.m. and a Legion of Mary Rosary will be recited at 6:45 pm. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the charity of the donor's choice and sent in care of the funeral home.
