Interment November 4, 2022

Robert "Bob" Burkhardt, 89, passed away Wednesday, October 12th at Alden Estates of Shorewood with his family by his side.

Bob had a life filled with two marriages, four children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with special friends throughout his life.

He was a local truck driver for ANS for almost 40 years and proud of his accident free record.

Bob was proud of his Navy service and time spent on the sea. We will miss his many stories of his service years during the the Korean War.

Bob was a larger than life character that brought many laughs to any room. He traveled a great deal after retirement all across the nation and continent. He loved his animals.

He was proud to have worked in a Montana logging camp as a young man before joining the Navy.

We will miss his fun, cheerful, loving and generous heart and his boisterous and contagious belly laughs. We take comfort in our faith in God knowing Bob is at rest and at peace.

Per Bob's wishes, he will be inurned at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
