Mrs. Hatfield, a long time resident of Long Island, had two homes in Sag Harbor in addition to the one in Stony Brook. She was the wife of the late William H. Hatfield, an assistant district attorney in New York during the administration of Fiorello LaGuardia.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Old Whalers Church in Sag Harbor and the New Church in New York. Mrs. Hatfield was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Stony Brook. Saturday's memorial will be offered at 7AM in St. Patrick's Cathedral. Her son, Hurd, is her sole survivor.
