Wendell - George Haliburton Yancey, 75, of 6021 Yancey Dr., a retired farmer, died Sunday April 11, 1993 at Wake Medical center. Funeral 8 p.m. Tuesday evening Hephzibah Baptist Church. Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
Surviving: wife, Margaret Phillips Yancey; son, Stan Yancey an his wife Wanda of Raleigh; sisters, Betty Belle Yancey and Ruth Y. Herald, both of Wendell, Goldie Y. Barnette of Greensboro, Gladys Y. Andrews of Richmond, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Foyer of Hephzibah Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wendell Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 84, Wendell, N.C., 27591.
