Larry J. Forrester "Poppy", 79, of Campobello passed away on October 20, 2022. He was the son of the late W.H. "Dub" and Elsie Burrell Forrester and husband of Tinnie Pace Forrester.

He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
He was an Industrial Insulator with Hoechst and had served as a police officer in Landrum, Campobello and Spartanburg County. He also worked as a State Constable.

He is survived by his wife, Tinnie Forrester; five daughters Pam Pruitt (Kenny), Tammy Solesbee, Genea Stark (Jason), Jeanne Harris (Kevin) and Tori Horton (Daniel); and honorary daughter Rita Burns; two sisters Linda F. Belue (Melvin) and Joyce F. Stephens; 12 grandchildren Tyrus Pruitt (Katlyn), Hunter Pruitt (Chelsea), Kolby Pruitt (Maia), Austin Solesbee (Kaylee), Dakota Solesbee (Brittany), Chase Forrester (Jennifer), Nicholas Forrester, Chandler Horton, Drew Stark (Narda), Makayla Stark, Victoria Cornell (Sam) and Abi-Gail Harris; and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 24, 2022 at Oak Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Lynn Stewart, Rev. Ryan Howard and Rev. David Grigg. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
