Walter Hafemann, 78, Wayside, died Tuesday at a local hospital.
He was born Feb. 17, 1898 in the Town of Holland to the late Louis and Wilhelmenia Bruss Hafemann.
Mr. Hafeman married Bertha Raduechel Oct. 16, 1919 in Wayside. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1969.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harvey, Rt. 1, Greenleaf; Norman, Racine; two daughters, Mrs. Gerhardt (Irene) Kiekhaefer, Rt. 2, Greenleaf; Mrs. Donald (Mabel) Wagner, Rt. 3, Pulaski; one brother, Raymond, Rt. 2, Greenleaf; one sister, Mrs. Gerhard (Stella) Ruediger, Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, after 4 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and then at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside, until services. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Francis Camann officiating. Burial in church cemetery.
