Waterford, California - Mac C Carlton, 89, was born in Maysville, OK on September 5, 1933, to Shelton C Carlton and Lula Rene (Abernathy) Carlton. He went home to be with his Savior on September 17, 2022.
Mac attended Oklahoma State University for 3 years until he enlisted in the US Air Force as a Radio Technician. Once honorably discharged he moved with his parents to Hickman, CA where he met the love of his life, Wanda Ann Willis and married for almost 65 years. They moved to Waterford, CA and started their family with three children. Mac started working for Sears & Roebuck as a Tv & Radio Repairman where he later started his own business. He went on to find his career passion as a Real Estate Broker and helped many friends and families find their homes or ranches for over 50 years.
He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church where he loved being a Sunday School Teacher, singing in the Choir and a member of the Congregation. He also loved fishing, hunting and camping with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton C Carlton & Lula Rene Carlton, his sister Mona Faye Smith. Mac is survived by his wife, Wanda Carlton, daughter, Sharlyn Kline-Gomes and sons, Jim Carlton and John Carlton, his brother, Hal Carlton and their spouses along with 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews, lifetime friends who will miss his stories, smiles & laughter.
Mac's life will be celebrated Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at the First Southern Baptist Church in Waterford at 116 E Street followed by a luncheon there. Mac will be laid to rest at a later date in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
