Jean Ann Prejean, age 81, of Euclid, passed away October 19, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, on March 11, 1941, to the late Franklin and Mary Baxter.
Jean was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jean proudly graduated from Villa Angela HS in 1959. Jean was a Euclid School Bus driver for many years. In her earlier career, she also worked for AT&T. Jean had a unique style of humor that will be fondly remembered by her friends and family. Jean enjoyed her fountain Pepsi, cigarettes, and scratch offs. Through the years, Jean was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Williams. Her greatest joy and source of pride was her daughter whom she raised as a single parent. She was a vivacious and exuberant woman with a big heart.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter Suzanne Prejean, cherished grandson Marcus Prejean, and sister Margaret Duffy. Jean leaves behind a host of friends and neighbors that have become family. She was preceded in death by her brother James Baxter.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 4 to 8pm at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 10am at Ss Robert and William, 367 E 260th St, Euclid. Jean will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Jean can be made to St. Jude.
