Bernda Lean Bacani, caring mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away suddenly on September 28th, 2022 at a Seattle area hospital.

Bernda was born on October 26th 1948 in Seattle, WA to the parents of Urbano and Ozell. She attended Garfield High School and Edmonds Community College and soon after pursued a Law Degree at the University of Washington. With this degree she worked many years as a prosecuting attorney for King County, WA., retiring in late 2013.

During her retirement years she had many passions such as raising her pet bunnies Boo and Kady. Bernda was also an avid volunteer. She was always happy to assist school children in the Homework Helper program as well as volunteering at the front desk of the Southeast Seattle Senior Center.

Bernda had a love of reading, cooking, travel, art and most of all...family. She would travel to Maryland every chance she got to visit her grandchildren on their birthdays. Her brothers and sisters were her world, they were inseparable. She was known for keeping in touch with friends even if the distance was far. With an unconditional heart, she would happily donate to charities such as Wounded Warriors, Paralyzed Veterans of America as well as the ACLU and ASPCA.

The Celebration of Life for Bernda will be held on October 26, 2022 at the Greenwood Memorial Park & Funeral Home located at 350 Monroe Ave NE Renton, WA 98056 from 11am-3pm

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in the name of Bernda Bacani to the Southeast Seattle Senior Center located at: 4655 S. Holly St. Seattle, WA 98118
