James Jackson Ross, resident of Idaho Falls since 1886, was found dead in his bed at his home on Blaine Avenue Sunday afternoon. Mr. Blaine had retired about 20:30 p.m. the previous night. When he had not been seen by late Sunday afternoon, one of his sons went to his room and found him dead. Fred Porter, county coroner, was called in, and announced that he had passed away during the night of a natural death. No investigation will be held, he said.
Mr. Ross was born at Payson, Utah, on February 7, 1864 and came to Idaho 51 years ago.
His survivors include Mrs. Christine M. Ross, two brothers, Albert Ross of Boise, John Ross of Dillon, Montana, and the following children: Clarence and Joe Ross of Idaho Falls; Eugene Ross of Victor; Mrs. Edgar Nelson and Mrs. Jennie Larson of Idaho Falls. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Wood Funeral Chapel. Bishop Price will officiate. Interment will be in the Ririe Cemetery.
