She married John D. Kennett April 26, 1958, and they have been married for 64 years and had four daughters.
She enjoyed singing in the church choir at the Riverdale United Methodist Church. She also sang as a part of a trio in her church. She had a passion for decorating her home and attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and concerts.
She is survived by her husband John Kennett; daughters, Pat (Dan) Shock of Petoskey, Diane Kennett of Ferndale, Susan (Mark) Smoker of Alma; son-in-law, Greg Moeggenberg of Mt Pleasant; grandchildren, Jessica Kennett, Ryan Moeggenberg, Kyle Moeggenberg, Alaina Sheerin, Meghan Smoker, Cameron Shock, Conner Shock and Maryssa Smoker and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Moeggenberg; father, Hazen Lewis; mother, Veva Lewis; three brothers, Hubert Lewis, Robert Lewis, Howard "Bud" Lewis; and three sisters, Melva Hawkins, Mary Hawkins, and Margie Shaffer.
Myrna's wishes were to be cremated and the family is holding a memorial service on Saturday, November 5, at 1:00 pm at Lincoln Road United Methodist Church.
