Charles "Chuck" Thomas Abbott, 68, of Earl Park, IN, passed away on October 25, 2022 at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.

He was born on August 31, 1954 to the late Hettie (Bailey) Abbott and William "Bill" Abbott. Chuck was a graduate of North Newton High School, class of 1973. He was a music enthusiast and once formed a band called "EZ Access," through which he met many of his close friends. Chuck worked for a number of years as a long-haul trucker, and then as a mechanic at Fairfield Contractor's in Lafayette, IN. Chuck could fix nearly anything. He enjoyed rescuing and spoiling his beloved dogs, most recently "Mr. B," and working on his home. Those who knew him well appreciated his mischievous, if sometimes gruff, nature. Above all, Charles was loved by many – the mark of a life well lived.

He is survived by two siblings and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who love him dearly. Chuck was preceded in death by parents and one half-brother, Bernard Hiestand.
