Joseph Alston Riddick was married twice. His first wife was Martha A Lashley whom he married on 30 Oct 1832 in Brunswich Co VA. Martha was the mother of Mary, James Andrew, Louisa, Benjamin and Martha. Martha Lashley Riddick died after the birth of her daughter in 1841. Joseph married 2nd, Margaret E Harvey on 25 Oct 1842 in Chowan Co NC and had several more children.
