Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Ann Ambrose, 76, who died at her home on Route 1, Creswell on Sunday. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Mrs Ambrose was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of Ephraim and Caroline Armstrong Davenport and a member of the Phillippi Church of Christ. Surviving are four sons: Odelle Wendell and Breman Ambrose all of Creswell and Earl Ambrose of Stockton Calif, one daughter: Mrs. E. F. Wynn of Creswell, one brother Alfred Davenport of Manteo, one sister Mrs. John Cowles of Creswell and nine grandchildren.
