Mrs. J. C. Haynes
Rebecca J. Miller was born in Markley, Indiana April 1, 1852 and departed this life April 17, 1923 at the age of 71 years, 16 days. At the age of seven she with her parents and brothers and sisters came to Kansas, settling near Lawrence where her girlhood was spent. She was united in marriage to J. C. Haynes on January 31, 1881. To this union were born three daughters, all of whom survive her. In the spring of 1885 they moved to a farm near Waverly where they have since lived.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband J. C. Haynes, three daughters, Pearl Tyner of Fall River, Arlye Hardesty, of Yates Center and Frankie Yeager of Waverly; two sisters Mrs. Delia Cochran, of Alta, Canada; and Mrs. Etta Allen, of Perry, Okla.; three brothers, C.W. Miller, of Colville, Wash., H. M. Miller of Hansen, Idaho and W. F. Miller of Lawrence, Kans., and sixteen grandchildren besides other relatives and a host of friends.
She was a kind loving and faithful wife and all the name "mother" implies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the M.C. Church, Wednesday, the Rev. A. R. Williams conducting the services. Interment in the Waverly cemetery
