Harold Augustus Relihan Sr died at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MA on May 11, 1979 after a short illness. Born in Walpole, NH on January 4, 1902, he was the son of Dennis and Catherine (O'Connor) Relihan.

He had been a Springfield resident for the past thirty seven years. He was a retired pharmacist, having worked at Federal Pharmacy in Springfield for twenty two years. He was a member of Holy Name church. He was a member of Forest Park Golden Agers, Retired Men's Club, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

He married Octavia Louise Bell on June 22, 1925 in Rockingham, VT who preceded him in death.

He leaves two sons Harold A Relihan Jr of East Longmeadow, MA and David L Relihan of Springfield; two daughters Barbara J O'Connell of Enfield, CT and Octavia L Anderson of Ludlow, VT; three brothers Charles Relihan of Bellows Falls, VT, Walter Relihan of Nashua, NH, and Rayfield Relihan of La Grange, GA; four sisters Mary Hale of Claremont, NH, Mildred Emmons of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Edna Metzgar of Plantation, FL and Regis Perry of Red Bank, NJ; and nine grandchildren.

Burial is in St Michaels cemetery.
