Betty Sue Parsons Erwin of Commerce Township, Michigan passed away on October 26th, 2022 from complications of covid. She was 91 years old. Betty Sue was born on October 6th, 1931 in McCalla, AL. and the oldest of seven children. She was married to Ray Erwin and had two sons, Joey and Bradford Erwin. She is survived by her younger son Bradford and her sisters - Joan Lindley, Linda Vincent and Claire Parsons Wayton. She loved being a mother and playing tennis. As soon as she graduated from Livingston State University with an associate degree, she worked for U.S. Steel in Fairfield, AL. for 10 years. Betty Sue and Ray moved to Michigan for jobs and she worked as an office clerk for Retirement funding until she was 62. She enjoyed retirement and spent her vacations in Destin, Florida. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
