Helen Joan Graeber Fletcher
February 14, 1915 ~ February 22, 2015

Helen Fletcher was born on Valentine's Day, 1915 in Webb City, Missouri. She passed away February 22, 2015 just eight days after celebrating her one-hundredth birthday.

Helen married Patrick E. Fletcher, her high school sweetheart on April 1, 1933. It was at Crozier Tech High School in Dallas where she, as a freshman and he as a senior, faked a fainting spell in front of him as a way to get him to notice her.

Pat's career in the oil business resulted in moves to several Texas cities from East Texas to South Texas to Laredo to Odessa and finally to Midland where she resided from 1949 to 1999. She grew up in the Methodist church, but converted to Catholicism upon her marriage to Pat and was a long time member of Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Midland.

After Pat's death in 1995 she moved to Dallas in 1999 to be close to her family and took up residence at Signature Pointe where she lived until her death. She unashamedly enjoyed the finer things that life had to offer, traveling extensively throughout the world. Her favorite trips were cruising the rivers of Europe.

She was an avid card player and became very accomplished at bridge. Until a few days prior to her death, she would complete the newspaper crossword puzzle in less than fifteen minutes. She loved watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys and would let you know when they didn't perform up to her standards. One of the most important things in her life besides family was the many close friends she had in Midland and at Signature Pointe.

Preceded in death by her husband, Pat and her oldest son, Patrick Jonlee Fletcher. Survived by her son, Kenneth Michael Fletcher, daughter, Judy Dale, grand children, twenty-three great grand children and other extended family and friends.
